^ The COLORBOND® steel colour swatches and images shown on this page have been reproduced to represent actual product colours as accurately as possible. However, we recommend checking your chosen colour against an actual sample of the product before purchasing, as varying light conditions and limitations of the display device may affect the colour tones. We recommend contacting your preferred supplier to confirm colour availability for your selected product and the most suitable material for your project. For further guidance on choosing the right product for your project, please refer to BlueScope Technical Bulletins 1A and 1B.

† also available in SUPERDURA® Stainless steel for Severe Coastal and Industrial environments. The solar absorptance and solar reflective index values shown are not applicable for SUPERDURA® Stainless steel. Please contact Steel Direct for more information on 1800 800 789.

All colours in the COLORBOND® steel standard colour range are available in COLORBOND® Ultra steel for Coastal and Industrial areas. Please speak to your supplier for more information regarding availability.

SA = Solar Absorptance
The classification of colours in the NCC is based on solar absorptance, which is the inverse of solar reflectance, expressed as a ratio between 0 and 1. A SA value of 0 indicates that a roof absorbs none and a value of 1 indicates that a roof absorbs 100% of the incoming solar radiation.

Solar absorptance value is a nominal value based on new product. Solar absorptance has been measured in accordance with ASTM E903-96, ‘Standard Test Method for Solar Absorptance, Reflectance, and Transmittance of Materials Using Integrating Spheres'.

SRI = Solar Reflectance Index
The solar reflectance index (SRI) provides a guide of a surfaces ability to reject solar heat on the basis of the relative temperature of surfaces with respect to a reference black (SRI=0) and white surface (SRI=100). The SRI value of a surface is calculated from its solar reflectance and thermal emittance.

Solar Reflectance Index is a nominal value based on new product.  SRI determined in accordance with ASTM E1980-11, ‘Standard Practice for Calculating Solar Reflectance Index of Horizontal and Low-Sloped Opaque Surfaces’.
