XLERPLATE® steel's analysis grades consist of grades that meet a specific chemical compositions while the counterweight grade is steel supplied to a broad chemical analysis range with no guaranteed mechanical properties.

The analysis grades consist of two grades Australian Standard AS/NZ 3678 A1006 and Australian Standard AS/NZ 3678 K1042. The Australian Standard AS/NZ 3678 A1006 is a low carbon and low strength structural grade typically used in galvanising kettles while Australian Standard AS/NZ 3678 K1042 is a heat treatable plate grade for general engineering applications, where improved abrasion and wear properties are obtained on heat treatment.

The counterweight material has no guaranteed mechanical properties, not recommended for structural applications, not supplied to a specific standard and no test certificates are available for this product.
